Our therapy approach heavily prioritizes the four Cs: Connection, Child-Led, Coaching, & Communication

Commitment to these pillars are what make our services unique and effective. We firmly believe that allowing these pillars to drive therapy is the key to successfully unlocking every child's full communicative potential.

Connection

Connection is the foundation of communication. Our approach to therapy is strengths-based and connection-based. Developing trust with a communication partner is the foundation for developing an intrinsic desire to communicate. This often means entering the chid's world.

Child-Led

Children learn through play. Not only does it have amazing global developmental benefits and facilitate a strong connection with your little one, but it also offers a natural context for communication. Following a child's lead provides opportunities to connect, model language, build trust, and validate their communication in a way that is affirming and regulating to them. It also provides multi-sensory experiences, minimizes pressure, promotes repetition, and provides developmentally appropriate access to language for your child (which leads to richer language intervention and greater overall success!).

Coaching

Caregiver coaching is the best way to maximize progress, outcomes, and increase the overall efficacy of therapy. Coaching allows caregivers to become proficient in implementing strategies that will benefit their child within daily routines and play that extend well beyond the time constraints of therapy. Imagine being able to serve your child every single day!

Communication

The goal of intervention here at Little Ears & Voices is, and will always be, to provide each child with an avenue to effective & functional communication via access to robust language models. Communication may look different for every child, but ALL communication is equal and valid. We support each child's development within their preferred communication style!
